In 2005, she started her professional career as an actor and became famous for portraying Melody Fuller on the family adventure show Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street. Ashley attended the local high-school, where she was a dancer, part of the drama team as well as played soccer. As Ashley finished her studies in 2018 she decided not to enroll in college, opting instead to focus on acting. Ashley was cast as Jessica Finch for the 2011 comedy for families Judy Moody & the Not Bummer Summer. In 2012, Ashley voiced many bears as well as rats in the smash animated adventure film Ernest & Celestine featuring Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson & Pauline Brunner. The film won 14 awards out of 29 nominations, which included an Oscar.
